Christchurch is having a party in Saxon Square and Druitt Gardens on 29 May 2010, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. The community is getting together to celebrate the town we love and feel so proud to be part of; the town is blowing its own trumpet!
The idea has been met with huge enthusiasm among individuals, groups and clubs in the area. The event is being funded by donations from: Christchurch Community Partnership, and the stall-holders and organisers themselves. The focus is to raise funds to contribute to the building of the new Druitt Community Centre. We are especially grateful for the commitment and participation of Christchurch Community Partnership, and their contribution to funding.
Christchurch Community Celebration (CCC) will be an annual event that revives Trinity Fair, one of the earliest recorded annual attractions held in the town. It aims to celebrate the creativity and knowledge which is part of our history and, above all, our present community, showcasing the many activities and interests that take place in the town, and to have fun together.
